Meet the Aluma Farm team!
Meet Lisa, Cornnetta, and Valentina, who make up the rest of the Aluma Farm crew
Lisa grew up in the maritime forests of Tybee Island, GA snacking on cherry tomatoes in her father's garden and picking blackberries with her mother in the wild brambles. She first worked on Beech Hill Farm while attending College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine where she earned a B.A. in Human Ecology. Lisa is working towards her life long goal of starting a farm for addiction recovery.
My name is Cornnetta Britt and I am the Outreach Coordinator for Aluma Farm. I'm 31 years old and a native of Atlanta, GA.
Here is a short poem for my Aluma experience...
Farming has changed my life, farming has helped me to let go of strife, farming has helped increase my health, farming has helped me to forget about wealth, farming has brought so much joy from the start, farming has opened up my heart, I'm character building everyday and learning to love in different ways, Andrea, Lisa, Valentina, and Andy have made my life with Aluma fine and dandy and no matter where I canvass or market Aluma I can do it with a smile because farming has helped bring more joy to my lifestyle.
